I worked closely with NGOs promoting women's emancipation and gender equality. Although the scope of these mission-driven projects might feel slightly distant from the circular urban context, I would like to highlight these initiatives as in each case, I made a fierce effort in leveraging my networks.
The first collaboration comes back to when I was still studying at university, where I was able to create a hub for both students and academics to engage with actionable projects throughout their studies. I raised funds within the academic context to facilitate a thorough collaboration with an NGO based in Peru.
Secondly, I would like to highlight a recent collaboration with Plan International. Here, I leverage internal funding and internal networks within the company I am currently working on to enable us to bring value and work to the initiatives organized by this organization.
In both cases, the network was leveraged to provide visibility and financial viability to the projects. Collaboration with experts within the academic or industry field has been prioritise within both projects, to ensure the projects were driving as much value as intended.
While studying my Bachelor´s degree in Product Design engineering, a friend and I searched for more practical learning experiences and a community feeling in a first year studies which strongly focuses on theory. Through the valuable guidance and support from the university staff, we were able to be granted in several occasions to develop this restlessness into meaningful initiatives. We created a student-led design association (first and only to this date) under which more than 80 members are at this date able to develop their interest and connect with likeminded.
